Nick Fultz ENC IIOI
Throughout this website I will be portraying all of the three major assignments that have allowed me to develop my writing. In high school I was taught the traditional five paragraph essays that contain a thesis, hooks, transitions and three body paragraphs with a conclusion that reflects your paper. Not to mention these essays had to be written within a hour, leaving you with no time to elaborate or better your paper once it was written. I believe this is what hindered me in high school because I had severe writers block inhibiting me from starting a paper. I had no idea what to start a paper with and knew that there was no going back to edit the paper. This is what started my hatred for writing and english as a whole. However, once I started ENC 1101 at University of Central Florida, Professor Wolcott opened my eyes to a different and more likable writing world. Professor Wolcott did a tremendous job using the book "Writing About Writing" to teach her students three major components of english that can change ones entire outlook on the subject. On this website I will also talk about the assignments prior to the three major assignments that were journal readings, reflections, peer reflections, and rough drafts that led to my final drafts. I will also elaborate on how these assignments have helped me and changed my mind on writing.
